Napoleon Police Department

Two dogs running loose were reported at 9:14 p.m. Friday in the area of West Barnes Avenue and West Maumee Avenue. The dogs returned to their owner.
- good dogs!

A report of harassment through texting was received from 619 Strong St. at 6:27 p.m. Friday. An attempted burglary was reported at 1:14 a.m. Saturday from the same residence. The residence was reported to not have been entered. At 3:42 p.m. Saturday, a report of misuse of a credit card also came from the same address.
- that is a house full of drama.

Theft of gas was reported at 8:22 a.m. Saturday from a truckstop on American Road.
- just A truckstop? isn't there only one?

Someone reported seeing a vehicle driving with a child in the front seat without a car seat at 9:26 a.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart. The vehicle was empty upon the officer’s arrival.
- must have been one tall baby.

Another driving complaint was received at 3:23 p.m. Saturday on Glenwood Avenue. A semi truck was off route but was gone by the time an officer arrived.

Criminal damaging in the form of a rear window being broken on a vehicle was reported from 32 Sunnydale Lane at 5:29 p.m. Saturday. Tires were reported slashed on a vehicle at 7:47 p.m. Sunday at Wal-Mart.
- fortunately the TIRE & LUBE EXPRESS is right there.

A report of subjects fighting was received at 10:11 p.m. Saturday from Park Court. Officers discovered it was someone in a garage processing deer.
- that explanation explains nothing. was the man fighting with the deer carcass?

An unruly child was reported at 6:30 p.m. Sunday from Willard Street.

Unwanted phone calls were reported at 6:58 p.m. Sunday from Detroit Avenue.

At 11:20 p.m. Sunday, a loud noise complaint was received on Glen Arbors Drive. Officers were unable to locate.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:43 p.m. Sunday on East Riverview Avenue. It was found to be someone looking for an address. A suspicious vehicle was reported Monday at 1:16 a.m. for a vehicle alarm sounding in the 700 block of Erie Street.

An employee at Shell reported a drive-off theft of $29 in gasoline Monday at 8:11 a.m.

At 11:15 a.m. Monday, a cat was reported in the roadway on Dodd Street near Lagrange Street.

A subject was warned for interference with custody Monday at 12:50 p.m. at 1800 Oakwood Ave. #22.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:26 a.m. Saturday in Washington Township. It was found to be someone setting off fireworks.
- this explanation seems unrelated to the complaint.

A loud music complaint was received at 4:41 a.m. Saturday on Main Street in McClure.

A car versus deer accident occurred at 9:46 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 6 near County Road 7 in Harrison Township. The driver was uninjured, and damage was minor to the vehicle.

A telephone junction box was damaged at 9:53 a.m. Saturday on County Road 4A in Washington Township.
- a WHAT?

A deputy assisted with a custody issue at 12:33 p.m. Saturday on County Road 7 in Monroe Township. A deputy also responded to a dispute at the Marathon Gas Station in Deshler. The issue was sent to the Henry County Prosecutor.

A fence was reported damaged on South Wilhelm Street in Holgate at 4:25 p.m. Saturday.

A message from the Columbus police department was delivered to a residence on State Route 110 near Napoleon at 12:28 a.m. Sunday.
- apparently the columbus PD have never heard of mail or phones.

A suspicious person was reported on county roads U4 and 3 at 3:07 a.m. Sunday. No other information was provided.

A missing person was reported at 6:16 a.m. Sunday from Township Road Q1 in Napoleon Township. No other information was provided.

Forgery was reported from Denny’s IGA in Liberty Center at 8:27 a.m. Sunday. A check was written on a closed account.

Items were reported stolen from a garage on County Road 7 in Monroe Township at 1:45 p.m. Sunday.

A parking complaint was received at 4 p.m. Sunday on East Cherry Street in Liberty Center. The vehicle was moved.

A deputy responded to a family argument at 7:08 p.m. Sunday on North East Street in McClure.

An open door was reported at Railside Market in Liberty Center Monday at 1:08 a.m. Deputies advised all was okay. An open door was reported at Gardenscape in Ridgeville Township at 2:40 a.m. Monday.

A disabled vehicle was reported on U.S. Route 24 west of County Road 11 in Napoleon Township Monday at 3:05 a.m. A deputy advised all was okay.

Disorderly conduct was reported in the 600 block of South East Street in McClure Monday at 9:09 a.m.

An accident was reported on Industrial Drive near U.S. Route 24 Wednesday at 6:15 a.m. An accident was reported in the 1800 block of Oakwood Avenue at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday. No other information was available in these incidents.

A subject at 872 E. Riverview Ave. #1 was warned for loud music at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday.
- he's #1! he's #1! i'd be excited and blaring music too.

Zachary Schlosser, 25, of Wauseon was arrested Wednesday at 2:55 p.m. for failure to appear on passing bad check charges. He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
- that must have been a REALLY bad check.

A subject was warned for criminal trespassing Wednesday at 4:55 p.m. at 140 Northcrest Dr. #34.
- he's #34! he's #34.... eh not quite the same ring to it.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office

Elizabeth T. Martz, 51, of Wauseon was northbound on County Road 13 in Liberty Township Wednesday at 5:27 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snow/ice covered roadway and slid into the ditch on the west side of the road. Martz and a passenger in her vehicle, Manda Martz, 16, of Wauseon, were uninjured. Damage to her vehicle was minor.

A summons was issued in a disorderly conduct incident involving two females arguing in the 500 block of North Street in Colton Wednesday at 11:15 a.m.
- ok i grew up in henry county and i have no idea where COLTON is. maybe they were arguing about whether their town actually exists.

An unruly juvenile was reported in the 400 block of East Holmes Street in Deshler at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Jayson Franks, 28, of Wauseon was arrested Wednesday at 5:05 p.m. at Wal-Mart.

There were four discharges Wednesday permitting publication. Chelsea Cordy and daughter of Archbold and Elizabeth Cohrs and son of Holgate were all discharged.

There was one birth Wednesday permitting publication. Alicia Rakes and Nate Holbrook of Napoleon had a girl at 5:16 p.m. She weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 225 Shelby Ave. at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday.
- the vehicle was wearing a black ski mask.

A disabled vehicle was reported on East Riverview Avenue at 12:29 a.m. Tuesday.

A subject was issued a traffic warning at 12:56 a.m. Tuesday for parking a vehicle in the 1800 block of Industrial Drive were signs were posted prohibiting parking.
- a parking violation! let's report it.

A semi was reported off route on Woodlawn Avenue at Glenwood Avenue at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday. An officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the semi.
- people on woodlawn at glenwood apparently have nothing better to do  than sit around and call the cops whenever they see a semi. this is in the paper all the time. maybe it's a drinking game or something.

A male juvenile was arrested at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday on Northcrest Circle and charged with domestic violence.

Kevin F. Steed, 51, of Napoleon was westbound on State Route 424 at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday when a deer ran into the path of his vehicle and was struck. Steed was not injured and damage was minor to his vehicle.

Deputies responded to 105 E. Cherry St. in Liberty Center at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday for a neighbor dispute.

A disabled semi with a flat tire was reported on State Route 109 in Marion Township at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday.

A mailbox was reported stolen from 11-711 County Road V in Liberty Township at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday.

A possible drunk driver was reported westbound from State Route 109 on U.S. Route 24 Monday at 2:13 a.m.
- maybe drunk, maybe not. maybe caught up to him, maybe not. who knows. let's report it!

At 6:32 a.m. Monday, a truck was reported off route on Glenwood Avenue near Woodlawn Avenue. Officers were unable to locate.

A vehicle was reported driving all over the roadway Monday at 1:33 p.m. on U.S. Route 6 near the city’s corporation limits. Officers warned one subject for crossing over marked lanes. A semi was reported driving all over the roadway Monday at 4:36 p.m. on County Road 17 near Rte. 24.
- ALL OVER THE ROADWAY. So descriptive. Really paints a picture.

Corey Schafer was served a summons Monday at 2:28 p.m. at 241 Patricia Ave top appear in court.

A subject at 554 W. Maumee Ave. reported soliciting Monday at 3:06 p.m.

Dale Good Jr., 22, of Napoleon, was arrested Monday at 5:36 p.m. on a warrant out of Napoleon Municipal Court for failure to appear. He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
- his whole life, he was expected to live up to that last name. the pressure would have gotten to me too.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office

Kimberly S. Winterfeld, 20, of Defiance was northbound on Damascus Street in Liberty Center Monday at 9:07 a.m. when her vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Winterfeld was uninjured, but her vehicle sustained disabling damage.

An open door was reported at Hamler Car Wash Monday at 2:47 a.m. Monday. Deputies advised all was okay.
- yeah, all was okay, except the inside of someone's car was soaked.

A suspicious vehicle was reported Monday at 9:02 a.m. parked at Lutheran Social Services. Deputies advised all was okay.

A subject in the 600 block of East Street in Liberty Center reported disorderly conduct Monday at 11:30 a.m. Deputies advised a neighbor was shooting a gun at a target.

Trespassing was reported Monday at 12:58 p.m. at 10612 County Road T in Liberty Township for an all-terrain vehicle operating on the property.

Warnings were issued to juveniles fighting over Facebook Monday at 1:04 p.m. at Patrick Henry High School.

Property damage was reported on County Road 10A near County Road E in Marion Township for a vehicle that had driven through a field Monday at 3:58 p.m.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office

A Hamler teen escaped injury following a single-vehicle crash reported on State Route 109 in Monroe Township at 9:58 p.m. Friday. Dack M. Floro, 18, was reported northbound on Rte. 109 south of County Road J when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered roadway causing it to travel left of center, off the left side of the roadway, down an embankment and finally coming to rest in a grassy area along the road. Floro was not injured, but damage to his vehicle was disabling.

Nicholas T. Heuer, 38, of Napoleon was westbound on County Road R in Napoleon Township at 2:39 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle on the snowy roadway. Heuer’s vehicle went off the north side of the road and struck an embankment. Heuer was not injured, but damage to his vehicle was moderate.

Lataija A. Tyson, 23, of Fostoria was cited for failure to control following a single-vehicle roll-over crash on State Route 281 in Richfield Township reported at 3:18 a.m. Saturday. Tyson was westbound on Rte. 281 when her vehicle traveled off the north side of the road. She overcorrected causing the vehicle to travel off the south side of the road, through a ditch, roll several times and strike a utility pole. Tyson suffered minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital. Her vehicle sustained severe damage.

Robert C. Garber Jr., 46, of rural Liberty Center was eastbound on County Road V in Washington Township at 7:26 a.m. Saturday when a deer ran into the path of his vehicle and was struck. Garber was not injured and damage was minor to his vehicle.

Nicole L. Pickering, 16, of rural Liberty Center was southbound on East Street in Liberty Center at 10:27 a.m. Saturday when her vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck a light pole. Pickering was not injured and damage was minor to her vehicle.
- at least it wasn't a heavy pole.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash on South Keyser Street in Holgate reported at 11:59 a.m. Saturday. Brandon John Newell, 17, of Deshler was eastbound in an alley when his vehicle slid on the snow covered roadway causing his vehicle to travel into the path of a southbound vehicle on South Keyser Street driven by Ronald E. German, 68, of Deshler. Damage to Newell’s vehicle was minor, but German’s vehicle sustained moderate damage.

A property damage complaint was filed at 8:17 a.m. Saturday when a resident at 245 W. Summit St. in McClure reported solar lights were damaged.
- maybe it was just cloudy.

A stop sign and street lights were reported damaged at the corner of Mary Ann and East streets in Liberty Center at 9:03 a.m. Saturday.

A suspicious vehicle was reported parked in the Dollar General Store parking lot at 8:47 p.m. Saturday.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on County Road Z in Napoleon Township at 3:51 p.m. Sunday. A deputy checked the area and reported the vehicle belonged to a hunter.
- it's okay. it's just a guy with a loaded gun wandering around the area.

Deputies responded to the McClure Telephone Co. at 12:29 p.m. Sunday for an alarm. A deputy reported it was a false alarm.
- maybe they should have called ahead of time.

Deputies assisted the Ohio Department of Natural Resources with a hunting complaint filed at 2:37 p.m. Sunday near the new U.S. Route 24 exchange at County Road 1 in Washington Township.

A criminal mischief complaint was filed at 5:33 p.m. Sunday when juveniles were reported throwing eggs at subjects in the 400 block of West Elm Street in Deshler.

Napoleon Police Department

A dog was reported loose in a yard in the 800 block of Haley Avenue at 10:11 a.m. Saturday.

A guardrail on Oakwood Avenue was reported damaged by an unknown vehicle at 12:21 p.m. Saturday.

An employee at Pilot truck plaza reported $32.02 in gasoline was stolen in a drive-off at 2:38 p.m. Saturday. The subject later returned and paid for the fuel.

Theft of $10 in gasoline was reported at 6:41 p.m. Saturday at Napoleon Party Mart.
- so the person was careful enough to get exactly $10 of gas... then drove off. hmm.

A telephone harassment complaint was filed at 6:19 p.m. Saturday by a subject at Napoleon High School.

Criminal damage was reported at 9:42 p.m. Saturday at 909 N. Perry St. An investigation is pending. A criminal damaging complaint was filed at 1:36 p.m. Sunday when a subject at 857 W. Graceway Ave. reported three tires on a vehicle were slashed. The tires were valued at $390.

A female was reported shoplifting at Wal-Mart at 9:50 p.m. Saturday.

Officers are investigating a narcotics complaint filed at 10:49 p.m. Saturday at 623 W. Washington St.

Lawrence Spencer, 40, of Napoleon was arrested on a warrant out of Mercer County at 4:14 p.m. Sunday. Spencer was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

A chimney fire was reported at 303 E. Clinton St. Wednesday at 9:07 a.m. Officers advised the subject was cleaning the chimney and all was okay.

A domestic dispute was reported in the city Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.

A subject was warned for reckless operation Wednesday at 3:58 p.m. in the 1100 block of Independence Drive.

Jesse Ramey, 19, of Napoleon was arrested for drug possession and paraphernalia Wednesday at 6:27 p.m. at 638 Beckham St.

A stray dog was reported on the porch at 622 Arden Court Wednesday at 6:46 p.m. Officers contacted the dog warden.

A subject at 470 Independence Drive reported gas was stolen from a car parked at the residence Monday at 9:42 p.m.

A male subject was warned for criminal trespassing Monday at 11:21 p.m. at 130 Northcrest Drive #36.

Telephone harassment was reported Tuesday at 10:52 a.m.
- pretty sure most of the calls to 911 in napoleon could be considered telephone harassment.

A vehicle was reported driving all over the roadway Tuesday on U.S. Route 24 near the railroad crossing at 11:38 a.m. Officers were unable to locate.

Robert Leimgruber, 39, of Napoleon was served a warrant out of Napoleon Municipal Court for an original charge of theft Tuesday at 9:23 a.m. at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

Christopher Smith, 29, of Napoleon was arrested on a warrant out of Napoleon Municipal Court for domestic violence Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. at 610 Beckham St. He was taken to CCNO.

A subject was reported driving a scooter all over the roadway in the 600 block of Beckham Street Tuesday at 5:14 p.m.

An alarm was reported at 1600 E. Riverview Ave. at 9:39 p.m. Sunday.

A subject in the 100 block of Northcrest Drive reported menacing at 9:37 p.m. Sunday. Officers advised the report was unfounded.

An employee of Kurtz Ace Hardware reported a theft Monday at 10:15 a.m. for a rental Rug Doctor which was not returned.

Balraj G. Singh, 26, of Napoleon was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence and failure to maintain reasonable control following an accident Saturday at 1:25 a.m. on Enterprise Avenue. Singh was southbound on Enterprise Avenue near East Riverview Avenue when his vehicle ran off the west side of the road and skidded to a stop near 2305 Enterprise Avenue. Singh’s vehicle struck a telephone junction box owned by Century Link on the roadside. Singh was uninjured and damage to his vehicle was minor. Singh was also arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Jean A. Knepley, 49, of Indianapolis, Ind. was traveling on State Route 424 near Myerholtz Park Saturday at 8:41 a.m. when her vehicle struck a deer. Knepley was uninjured and damage to his vehicle was minor.

A water main break was reported in the 300 block of East Clinton Street Thursday at 8:29 p.m. The issue was referred to the utilities department.

A subject in the area of Orwig Avenue and Welsted Street reported a barking dog at 10:29 p.m. Thursday. Officers were unable to locate.

A noise disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Monroe Street Thursday at 11:53 p.m.

An intoxicated person was reported in the 1800 block of Scott Street at 2:38 a.m. Friday.

Christopher Rathburn, 23, of Napoleon, and Ralph Rupp, 29, of Archbold were arrested for disorderly conduct Friday at 3:10 a.m. in the 100 block of West Main Street.

An alarm was reported at 210 E. Riverview Ave. at 10:22 a.m. Friday. Officers advised it was due to carpet cleaners and all was okay.

A subject at 909 Daggett Drive reported a shed was broken into at 12:46 p.m. Friday.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 200 block of East Maumee Avenue Friday at 3:44 p.m. Officers advised all was okay.

A domestic dispute was reported Saturday at 4:46 a.m. in the 800 block of Maple Street. Another domestic dispute was reported in the 100 block of Thomas Avenue Saturday at 5:29 a.m. In the 500 block of West Main Street Sunday at 4:05 p.m., a domestic dispute was reported.

Telephone harassment was reported by a subject at 840 Sheffield Ave. #4 Saturday at 5:48 a.m. At 6:51 p.m. Saturday, telephone harassment was reported at 840 Sheffield Ave. #2.
- clearly a serial harasser. i'd guess the suspect is in apartment #1 or #3.

An alarm was reported at 1074 Scott St. Saturday at 1:05 p.m. Officers advised it was due to subscriber error.

Kyle Lawrence, 19, of Napoleon was arrested Saturday at 8:36 p.m. in the area of Courtland Drive and Meadowlark Lane on a warrant out of Wood County. He was taken to the county line.
- did they just drop him off there in the cold? what is this, mexico?

An attempted burglary was reported at 42 Sunnydale Lane Sunday at 2:15 p.m.

A subject at Big Boy reported a wallet with cash and some personal items were stolen Sunday at 3:50 p.m.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office

Jonathan A. Mohler, 38, of Delta was cited for failure to yield making a left turn following an accident Friday at 11:13 a.m. Mohler was westbound on County Road U in Freedon Township when he attempted to turn left into a driveway and failed to see an eastbound vehicle operated by Dale J. Damman, 51, of Wauseon. Damman’s vehicle struck Mohler’s in the left front end, swerved to the right, drove through grass and came to rest on the side of the road. Mohler, Damman, and a passenger in Damman’s vehicle, Dorinda Damman, 43, of Wauseon, were uninjured. Mohler’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and damage to Damman’s vehicle was minor.

Julie D. McGuire, 25, of Wauseon was eastbound on County Road X in Ridgeville Township Sunday at 4:46 a.m. when she swerved to miss a deer and drove into a ditch. McGuire’s vehicle came to rest on its top. McGuire suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Fulton County Health Center by Ridgeville Rescue. No damage was reported to her vehicle.

Catherine Paxton, 18, of Deshler, was served a warrant Thursday at 7:55 p.m. at 415 W. Henry St. in McClure.

A warning was issued in a driving complaint reported on County Road P near State Route 109 in Napoleon Township at 8:45 p.m. Thursday.

A suspicious vehicle was reported parked at Log Cabin Bar in Liberty Township at 11:50 p.m. Thursday. Deputies advised all was okay.

Young St. in Liberty Center Friday at 12:09 a.m. A subject at 290 State Route 65 in Damascus Township reported receiving unwanted calls and text messages at 3:56 p.m. Friday. Unwanted calls and text messages were also reported by a subject at 11081 Township Road U in Liberty Township at 6:17 p.m. Friday.

A subject on County Road 13 in Napoleon Township reported hearing faint noises and dogs barking Friday at 1:09 a.m.

Buildings and trailers were reported broken into at 4395 State Route 110 in Damascus Township Friday at 1:41 p.m.

A wounded deer was reported on the road on U.S. Route 24 near County Road 4A in Washington Township Friday at 6:13 p.m.

A warrant was issued in a domestic dispute which was reported Saturday at 1:51 a.m. in the 200 block of East Plum Street in Deshler.

David Randall, 46, of Toledo was arrested at 634 E. Water St. in Deshler for firing shots toward a field at 3:08 a.m. Saturday.

An open door was reported at 206 High St. in Liberty Center at 12:53 a.m. Sunday. It was advised the door was blown open.

Raymond D. Shultz Jr., 35, of Napoleon was arrested for a burglary in progress at 710 East St. in Liberty Center Sunday at 1:39 a.m.

Tamara L. Spillis, 61, of Napoleon was backing out of a drive in the 500 block of East Washington Street Wednesday at 11:24 a.m. when she backed too far and struck a speed limit sign owned by the City of Napoleon. Spillis was uninjured, and no damage was reported to her vehicle.

At 8:30 a.m. Thursday, an unknown vehicle is believed to have been making a tight left turn from Industrial Drive onto the on ramp to U.S. Route 24 and struck a guardrail owned by the City of Napoleon. No injuries were reported, and damage to the vehicle is unknown.

A subject at 809 Lumbard St. Wednesday at 11:16 a.m. reported the misuse of a credit card estimated at $400.

A subject in the 600 block of Beckham Street reported a mini bike driving up and down the roadway at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday. A subject was reported riding a scooter on the roadway on Beckham Street Wednesday at 3:26 p.m. Officers were unable to locate.

Cody Workman, 24, of Napoleon was arrested on a warrant out of Napoleon Municipal Court Wednesday at 3:29 p.m. at 538 Huddle Road, Lot 46 for failure to pay. He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

Charges are pending in a report of aggravated menacing in the city Wednesday at 4:16 p.m.

Littering was reported at Wal-Mart at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday. Officers were unable to locate.

Adam R. Shively, 31, of Defiance was served a warrant out of Napoleon Municipal Court Wednesday at 4:47 p.m. at CCNO for failure to pay.

A subject at 630 Stout St. #5 reported telephone harassment at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday.

Charges are pending in reports of underage consumption, drug abuse and drug paraphernalia Thursday at 12:22 a.m. in the 800 block of Woodlawn Avenue.

Criminal trespassing was reported by a subject at 211 Depot St. at 2 a.m. Thursday. Prosecution was declined.

Lisa M. Bulone, 49, of Toledo was westbound on State Route 65 in Damascus Township Thursday at 6:06 a.m. when his vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, striking the guardrail. Bulone was uninjured, and no damage was reported to her vehicle.

Beverly J. Saneholtz, 49, of Archbold was eastbound on County Road T in Freedom Township Thursday at 7:41 a.m. when her vehicle went out of control due to the icy roadway, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a ditch. Saneholtz was uninjured, but damage to her vehicle was disabling.

An accident was reported on County Road T between county roads 18 and 19 in Freedom Township Thursday at 6:35 a.m. Another accident was reported on County Road Y in Marion Township at 12:14 p.m. Thursday. Not other information was available in these incidents.

A verbal disagreement was reported on Rte. 65 in Bartlow Township Thursday at 8:08 a.m.

Neighbor problems regarding a loose dog was reported in the 200 block of Forest Street in Florida at 11:35 a.m. Thursday.
