Napoleon Police Department
Jean Delventhal, 77, of Napoleon was westbound on East Riverview Avenue Tuesday at 9:49 a.m. approaching the intersection of Hobson Street. A vehicle operated by Loucinda M. Triggs, 63, of Napoleon was northbound on Hobson Street, stopped at the posted stop sign at the intersection of Hobson Street and East Riverview Avenue. Triggs pulled from the stop and failed to see Delventhal’s vehicle, pulling out in front of it. Triggs could not stop and struck Delventhal’s vehicle. Neither Delventhal or Triggs were injured, and damage to their vehicles was minor.
A 9-1-1 hang up was reported at Rite-Aid Tuesday at 8:38 p.m. An officer advised all was okay.
A possible drunk driver was reported in the 1300 block of Oakwood Avenue at 10:08 p.m. Tuesday. Officers were unable to locate.
An alarm was reported at 1412 Scott St. at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers had to direct traffic to get a disabled truck off the road Wednesday at 9:32 a.m. on Northcrest Drive near Oakwood Avenue. A wrecker had to remove a disabled vehicle Wednesday at 9:59 a.m. on Lagrange Street near Scott Street.

An employee at Murphy USA reported a drive-off theft of gasoline Wednesday at 3:40 p.m.
A report of child abuse in the 1600 block of East Riverview Avenue was discovered to be unfounded Wednesday at 4:03 p.m.

An erratic driver was reported on U.S. Route 6 near Westmoreland Avenue Wednesday at 4:23 p.m. An officer was unable to locate.

A 9-1-1 hang up was reported Wednesday at 5:44 p.m. at 595 Buckeye Lane. An officer advised children were playing with the phone and all was okay.

Coins were reported stolen from the Hamler Car Wash Wednesday at 3:03 a.m.

Christopher D. Slone, 22, of Hamler was cited for no operator’s license Wednesday at 1:58 p.m. following a traffic stop on East Street in Liberty Center.
An individual passing bad checks was reported at 17089 U.S. Route 6 in Napoleon Township at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday.
A 9-1-1 hang up was reported at 220 S. Turkeyfoot Ave. in Malinta Wednesday at 6:18 p.m. Deputies advised all was okay.
A subject at 7681 County Road V in Liberty Township reported receiving unwanted text messages and phone calls Wednesday at 6:47 p.m. At 7:21 p.m. Wednesday, a subject at 415 W. Henry St. in McClure reported receiving unwanted text messages.
