Napoleon Police Department

Officers are investigating a burglary reported at 1:04 a.m. Monday by a subject at 1318 Woodlawn Ave. A television, an Xbox and an IPod were all reported stolen.

Two vehicles were reported blocking the view at the intersection of Lagrange and Willard streets at 6:25 a.m. Monday. An officer reported the vehicles were on private property.

- what view? is there normally a majestic view of the courthouse or the painted wildcat or the river?

A driving complaint involving tailgating was filed at 8:02 a.m. Monday by a motorist on U.S. Route 24 at the railroad crossing.

- did it involve train cars? cuz those are always really close together.

A driving complaint was also filed at 3:12 p.m. when a subject reported a motorist in the area of Napoleon High School was driving recklessly.

Officers responded to the AMVETs on Scott Street at 11:48 a.m. Monday for a report of a topaz ring stolen off a tree.

While officers were at the location, it was also reported a fur coat was stolen and a GPS was stolen from a vehicle parked in the lot.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Beckham Street at 1:15 p.m. Monday for a report of an attempted suicide. No one was at the residence when an officer arrived.

Mark Brinkman, 30, of Continental was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay at 5:28 p.m. Monday in the area of Independence Drive and Oakwood Avenue. Brinkman was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

A suspicious person was reported at Pizza Hut near a dumpster at 6:34 p.m. Monday.


- suspicious person is on to something. they always pitch perfectly good pizza from that buffet.

A disabled vehicle was reported on Ohio Street at 6:57 p.m. Monday.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office


A subject at 18548 County Road H in Flatrock Township reported a fraudulent check was received through the mail at 6:14 a.m. Monday.

Deputies responded to E929 County Road 16C in Pleasant Township at 10:10 a.m. Monday for a domestic dispute. Douglass Scott, 22, of Toledo was arrested in the incident.

A trespassing complaint was filed at 116 N. Greenler St. in Holgate at 3:31 p.m. Monday.

A car/deer accident was reported on State Route 108 south of State Route 281 in Flatrock Township at 7:11 p.m. Monday. No injuries or damage was reported.

Henry County Hospital

There were no admissions or births to report Monday.

There were two discharges Monday permitting publication. Ashley Kryder and son of McClure were discharged.
