Napoleon Police Department

Keith Damman, 50, of Napoleon was arrested for assault Monday at 9:17 p.m. at 1102 W. Riverview Ave. He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. He was served with papers charging him wth assault at CCNO Tuesday at 8:27 a.m.

Barking dogs were reported in the 400 block of West Maumee Avenue Tuesday at 12:09 a.m.

Officers checked the gardener’s shack at the municipal golf course Tuesday at 2:38 a.m. for a light that was on.

A sex complaint was filed in the city Tuesday at 10:46 a.m. and is currently under investigation.

A disabled vehicle was reported on U.S. Route 24 near Scott Street Tuesday at 6:11 p.m. The vehicle was gone upon an officer’s arrival.

Fuel was reported stolen from a semi tank while parked at Travel Centers of America Tuesday at 7:11 a.m.

An unruly juvenile refusing to go to school was reported in the 400 block of West Maumee Avenue at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office


Elwin L. Hines Sr., 53, of Portsmouth, Va., was traveling on Rte. 24 west of County Road 17 at 3:33 a.m. Tuesday when his vehicle struck a deer. Hines was uninjured and no damage was reported to his vehicle. A car also struck a deer on Rte. 24 west of Texas in Washington Township Tuesday at 6:19 p.m. Another car/deer accident occured on Rte. 24 east of Texas in Wasington Township at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday. No other information was available on these accidents.

A reckless driver was reported on U.S. Route 6 and 24 near Township Road 11 in Napoleon Township at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday.

A subject at V915 County Road 1 in Liberty Township Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. reported an e-mail account had been hacked.

A license plate was reported stolen off a vehicle parked at 6709 County Road T in Washington Township Tuesday at 3:17 p.m.

A school bus reported being passed while stopped and unloading passengers on State Route 18 in Marion Township at 3:19 p.m. Tuesday.

Vandalism was reported for damaged items at 16582 Township Road Q1 in Napoleon Township at 5:12 p.m. Tuesday.
