Several speed citations were issued Thursday on Rte. 24, State Route 424 and State Route 281.
A deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 5 p.m. Thursday with a warrant at 236 Depot St. in McClure. Narcotics were also found at the residence.

Napoleon Police Department
On Monday at 11:38 p.m., a semi operated by Timothy J. Mifsud, 39, of Richmond, Ind., was parked legally in a marked parking space at Pilot Travel Center when a second semi was attempting to back into the space next to Mifsud’s and struck Mifsud’s vehicle. The unknown semi left the scene prior to police arrival. Damage to Mifsud’s semi was minor. Another accident was reported at the Pilot Travel Center at 2:23 p.m. Tuesday. No other information was available.
Officers reponded to 221 E. Clinton St. Monday at 6:57 p.m. for a report of a civil protection order violation.
A subject in the area of Monroe Street and Shelby Avenue reported hearing gunshots Monday at 10:59 p.m. Officers who checked the area were unable to locate.
A suspicious person was reported in the 800 block of Welsted Street at 11:22 p.m. Monday.
An open door was reported at Koester Corp. Tuesday at 1:51 a.m. Officers secured the building.
A domestic dispute was reported on Glenwood Avenue at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday.

Wallace suffered minor injuries and damage to his motorcycle was minor.

Napoleon Police Department
Velma D. Gerken, 83, of Napoleon was backing from a parking space on West Washington Street Friday at 2:11 p.m. when she struck a westbound vehicle on West Washington Street operated by April McKenzie, 31, of Defiance. No injuries were reported and damage to both vehicles was minor.
On Friday at 9:55 p.m. in the 800 block of West Washington Street, an unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Bruce R. Dickes of Napoleon in the driver’s side mirror. Damage to Dickes’ vehicle was minor and no injuries were reported.
On Saturday at 10:20 p.m., a vehicle owned by Kayla Ross was parked at the AMVETs in Napoleon and was struck by an unknown vehicle in the left side. No injuries were reported and damage to Ross’ vehicle was minor.
One subject was warned for loud music at 78 Grenwich Drive at 12:26 a.m. Monday.
At 1140 E. Riverview Ave. Monday at 2:04 a.m., one subject was warned for trespassing after a caller reported the person looking in the window.
A truck was warned for being off route Monday at 7:10 a.m. at Glenwood and Woodlawn avenues. A driving complaint for another truck off route was reported at 4:39 p.m. Monday at Westmoreland and Woodlawn avenues.

No injuries were reported. At 4:14 a.m., Gregory J. Langenderfer, 53, of Sylvania was westbound on U.S. Route 24 when his vehicle struck a deer. Langenderfer was uninjured and damage to his vehicle was moderate. Minor damage was caused to the vehicle of William J. Jackman, 27, of Hamler after his vehicle struck a deer while traveling eastbound on State Route 18 at 3 a.m. Jackman was not injured.
A purse was reported lost or stolen Monday at 10:35 a.m. by a subject at Galloway Saloon in Liberty Center.
Criminal mischief was reported at 335 N. Keyser Ave. in Deshler for damage to a storage building Monday at 10:37 a.m.

On Friday at 1:11 p.m., a vehicle owned by Joyce A. Zumfelde of Napoleon was parked on East Street in Liberty Center when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. Damage to Zumfelde’s vehicle was minor.
Alfred E. Harper, 47, of Chicago, Ill., was cited for assured clear distance ahead Friday at 11:47 p.m. Harper was northbound on State Route 108 in Freedom Township when he failed to notice a second vehicle traveling in front of him signal to turn west on County Road U. Harper swerved off the left side of the roadway to avoid striking the vehicle and struck a stop sign and a utility pole. Harper was uninjured, but damage to his vehicle was moderate.
Adam N. Sosebee, 22, of Napoleon was westbound on U.S. Route 24 in Washington Township Friday at 11:05 p.m. when his vehicle struck a deer. Sosebee was uninjured and damage to his vehicle was minor. On Saturday at 4:58 a.m., Angela F. Dennison, 43, of Montpelier was eastbound on U.S. Route 6 in Freedom Township when her vehicle struck a deer. Dennison was not injured, but her vehicle sustained minor damage. Another car/deer accident was reported on State Route 108 near County Road U in Freedom Township Friday at 11:46 p.m. No other information was available.

Christine L. Plummer, 33, of Napoleon was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence Saturday at 2:20 a.m. following a traffic stop at West Clinton Street and Sheffield Avenue.

Alfred E. Harper, 47, of Chicago, Ill., was cited for assured clear distance ahead Friday at 11:47 p.m. Harper was northbound on State Route 108 in Freedom Township when he failed to notice a second vehicle traveling in front of him signal to turn west on County Road U. Harper swerved off the left side of the roadway to avoid striking the vehicle and struck a stop sign and a utility pole. Harper was uninjured, but damage to his vehicle was moderate.
Adam N. Sosebee, 22, of Napoleon was westbound on U.S. Route 24 in Washington Township Friday at 11:05 p.m. when his vehicle struck a deer. Sosebee was uninjured and damage to his vehicle was minor. On Saturday at 4:58 a.m., Angela F. Dennison, 43, of Montpelier was eastbound on U.S. Route 6 in Freedom Township when her vehicle struck a deer. Dennison was not injured, but her vehicle sustained minor damage. Another car/deer accident was reported on State Route 108 near County Road U in Freedom Township Friday at 11:46 p.m. No other information was available.

A two-vehicle accident occurred at 10:02 a.m. Thursday in Flatrock Township. Conor Mutter, 18, of Napoleon, was headed north on County Road 14 and stopped for the posted stop sign at State Route 281. He failed to see a vehicle driving west on Rte. 281 driven by Margaret Gerken, 85, of Hamler. Mutter pulled out and struck Gerken’s vehicle, causing it to go into a ditch. Gerken was transported by a family member to Defiance Clinic. Disabling damage was reported to Mutter’s vehicle, while moderate damage was reported Gerken’s vehicle.

Breckler, 21, of Defiance was cited for failure to control Wednesday at 5:44 a.m. when, as he was traveling northbound on County Road 24 in Ridgeville Township, he went off the west side of the roadway, over corrected, spun around and slid off the east side of the roadway with the vehicle rolling on its side. He noted he had fallen asleep at the wheel while driving. Breckler suffered minor injuries, but damage to his vehicle was severe.

Glenn E. Davis, 79, Liberty Center, was attempting to turn left out of the Wal-Mart drive Friday at 3:43 p.m. and head north on Scott Street when he failed to see a vehicle driven by Kristine R. Sharp, 44, of Napoleon turning west into the drive. Davis struck Sharp’s vehicle, causing minor damage to both. No injuries were reported.
On Saturday at 5:19 p.m. on Reynolds Street, an unknown vehicle struck a south-facing parked vehicle owned by Eric S. Wolf of Napoleon. Damage to Wolf’s vehicle was minor.

Cows were reported loose on the roadway on County Road 4 north of U.S. Route 24 in Washington Township at 8:59 a.m. Wednesday. The animals were corralled and the owner was contacted.

XXXXXXXX, 45, of Wauseon was traveling north on County Road 20 in Ridgeville Township at 9:40 p.m. Thursday when he stated in a report his cell phone was ringing and he looked down to pick it up, which caused him to drive his vehicle off the right side of the roadway. He overcorrected the vehicle, and it went off the left side of the roadway and into a ditch. Armstrong was not injured, and damage to his vehicle was minor.
looking down doesn't cause you to drive off the road. being a dumbass does.
