Local residents 'live in the past'

- that's actually a headline in today's Northwest Signal. most truthful thing ever published in a newspaper.

A possible fire was reported in the 1400 block of Scott Street at 9:06 a.m. Saturday. An officer checked the area and reported a resident in the area was burning wood in a wood burner.

- damn good place to burn wood

A dog was reported running loose in the area of 185 Old Creek Drive at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. The animal was gone when an officer arrived.

- running dogs do not tend to stay in one place

A suspicious person was reported walking around storage buildings at 160 E. Maumee Ave. at 3:10 a.m. Sunday. An officer located the subject and transported them to a hotel.

James H. Hill, 39, of Neapolis was westbound on County Road V in Washington Township at 8:58 p.m. Monday when his vehicle struck a deer on the roadway causing minor damage to his vehicle. Hill was not injured.
