A warrant out of Wood County was served to William Vanalstine, 23, of Archbold at 2:33 a.m. Thursday. Vanalstine was arrested for failing to appear on a charge of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. A warrant was also served to Chester F. Brown Jr., 49, of Napoleon at 10:57 a.m. Thursday at 1819 Oakwood Ave. The warrant was for failure to appear.
Matthew J. Gonzalez, 21, of Napoleon was arrested on a domestic violence charge at 8:41 p.m. Thursday from 409 E. Washington St. He was taken to CCNO.

Jeffrey A. Loofbourrow of Bowling Green was picked up on a warrant from Wood County at 190 Thomas Ave. Friday 5:39 p.m.
A subject in the 100 block of Old Creek Drive reported a dog running loose in the area between houses Friday at 5:58 p.m. Another dog complaint was filed at 7:38 p.m. Friday for a dog running loose in the 1200 block of Rye Street. The owner was located and warned for dog at large.
Henry County Sheriff’s Office
A two-vehicle accident occurred at 10:02 a.m. Thursday in Flatrock Township. Conor Mutter, 18, of Napoleon, was headed north on County Road 14 and stopped for the posted stop sign at State Route 281. He failed to see a vehicle driving west on Rte. 281 driven by Margaret Gerken, 85, of Hamler. Mutter pulled out and struck Gerken’s vehicle, causing it to go into a ditch. Gerken was transported by a family member to Defiance Clinic. Disabling damage was reported to Mutter’s vehicle, while moderate damage was reported Gerken’s vehicle.
Two car versus deer accidents were also reported. The first happened Wednesday at 9:32 p.m. on U.S. Route 6 in Ridgeville Township. The other occurred at 4:59 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 24 near County Road 11 in Napoleon Township.
A deputy assisted Ridgeville Rescue with a medical call on County Road W near Archbold at 3:05 a.m. Thursday.
A deer was reported in the roadway at Rte. 24 and County Road 17D near Napoleon at 5:20 a.m. Thursday.
A theft was reported at 6:35 a.m. Thursday from 9122 County Road L3 in Monroe Township. No other information was available.
A report of a disabled vehicle could not be verified on County Road 17C in Florida at 8:19 a.m. Thursday.
A citation for speeding was issued at 8:57 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of County Road W and Township Road 22 near Archbold. Another speeding citation was issued at 12:55 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of State Route 281 and County Road 15 in Flatrock Township.
A deputy responded to a civil matter involving child custody at 3:31 p.m. Thursday on Railroad Street in New Bavaria.
An Internet scam was reported at 3:39 p.m. Thursday from Township Road 6 in Damascus Township.
Identity theft was reported at 4:09 p.m. Thursday from County Road S in Liberty Township. A subject at Campbell Soup Supply Co. in Harrison Township also reported identity theft at 12:34 p.m. Friday.
Political signs were reported stolen from a yard on County Road T in Liberty Township at 5:57 p.m. Thursday.
An unruly juvenile was reported Thursday at 7:13 p.m. on county Road G in Deshler. The subject was referred to juvenile probabtion.
A suspicious person was reported on County Road S between county roads 10 and 11 in Liberty Township Thursday at 8:26 p.m. Deputies found it to just be a subject walking.
Sheriff’s deputies assisted a disabled vehicle on Rte. 24 near State Route 109 in Liberty Township at 12:56 a.m. Friday.
John J. Thome, 28, of New Bavaria was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence Friday at 1:34 a.m. following a traffic stop for crossing over marked lanes on Rte. 109 south of County Road Y in Marion Township.
Deputies are investigating a report of a missing vehicle from 350 Mason St. in McClure Friday at 5:08 a.m. A wallet was also reported stolen from this residence Friday at 8:53 a.m.
An employee at Pisanello’s Pizza in Liberty Center reported a subject passing a bad check Friday at 8:53 a.m.
At 1:11 p.m. Friday at Liberty Center Village Hall, a hit-and-run accident was reported. No other information was available.
Two civil matters were reported Friday. The first was on Rte. 109 in Harrison Township at 5:24 p.m. and the other was at 6:04 p.m. on Township Road M4 in Damascus Township.
Napoleon Fire Department
Crews responded to a report of a gas leak on Independence Drive at 8:50 a.m. Friday near the Holgate Metal Fab building. Nothing was reported found at the scene and the issue was referred to the Ohio Gas Co.
