On Friday at 1:11 p.m., a vehicle owned by Joyce A. Zumfelde of Napoleon was parked on East Street in Liberty Center when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. Damage to Zumfelde’s vehicle was minor.
Alfred E. Harper, 47, of Chicago, Ill., was cited for assured clear distance ahead Friday at 11:47 p.m. Harper was northbound on State Route 108 in Freedom Township when he failed to notice a second vehicle traveling in front of him signal to turn west on County Road U. Harper swerved off the left side of the roadway to avoid striking the vehicle and struck a stop sign and a utility pole. Harper was uninjured, but damage to his vehicle was moderate.
Adam N. Sosebee, 22, of Napoleon was westbound on U.S. Route 24 in Washington Township Friday at 11:05 p.m. when his vehicle struck a deer. Sosebee was uninjured and damage to his vehicle was minor. On Saturday at 4:58 a.m., Angela F. Dennison, 43, of Montpelier was eastbound on U.S. Route 6 in Freedom Township when her vehicle struck a deer. Dennison was not injured, but her vehicle sustained minor damage. Another car/deer accident was reported on State Route 108 near County Road U in Freedom Township Friday at 11:46 p.m. No other information was available.
A semi reportedly struck wires on Rte. 108 near Road U in Freedom Township Saturday at 12:12 a.m.
At 12:24 a.m. Saturday, loud music was reported at 240 Depot St. in McClure.
A donkey was reported loose near the road on County Road 7 near County Road P in Harrison Township at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies looked for a reckless driver who was reported traveling westbound on Rte. 24 near State Route 109 in Liberty Township Saturday at 4:20 p.m. The complaint was unfounded. Another driving complaint was filed when it was reported a driver was lost on Rte. 24 near Rte. 109 in Liberty Township at 8:04 p.m. Saturday.
Three subjects were reported walking and hitch hiking on County Road 3 between county roads V and W in Washington Township at 6:40 p.m. Saturday.
- i'm not sure you can be walking and hitch hiking at the same time. one involves being outside a car, the other involves being inside a car. maybe the car was so big you could walk inside it.
A vehicle was reported stuck in a ditch after turning around on County Road 3A north of Rte. 6 in Damascus Township at 8:28 p.m. Saturday.
A gas can and a propane tank were reported stolen from behind Ken’s Karry Out in Liberty Township Saturday at 8:42 p.m.
Subjects were reported throwing eggs at a house on County Road J near County Road 5 in Richfield Township Saturday at 11:27 p.m. The complaint was unfounded.

Michael Schwan, 27, of Liberty Center was arrested on a warrant out of Fulton County Sunday at 1:48 a.m. at 109 Mary Ann St. in Liberty Center. He was taken to Fulton County.
A hit-skip accident was reported on the Maumee river bridge Sunday at 11:52 a.m. No other information was available.

An alarm was reported at Deshler Farmer’s Elevator at 12:23 p.m. Sunday.
Criminal mischief was reported for eggs being thrown at Hastedt Family Green House at 3:59 p.m. Sunday.
Napoleon Police Department
Two noise complaints were handled Friday. Loud music was reported at 220 Thomas Ave. at 10:35 p.m. and a subject was warned for loud music at 203 Thomas Ave. at 11:28 p.m.
Christine L. Plummer, 33, of Napoleon was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence Saturday at 2:20 a.m. following a traffic stop at West Clinton Street and Sheffield Avenue.
A resident in the 500 block of West Washington Street was warned for dog at large Saturday at 10:14 a.m.
A fire alarm was reported activated Saturday at 2:20 p.m. at 1111 Scott St.
An employee at Pilot Truck Stop reported the theft of gasoline in a drive-off Saturday at 3:46 p.m. Another drive-off was reported at Pilot Sunday at 1:26 p.m. The subject returned and paid for the gas.
Erica Gonzalez, 18, and Kaitlyn Nagel, 18, both of Napoleon were arrested for shoplifing Saturday at 5 p.m. at Wal-Mart.

A male subject was warned for disorderly conduct Sunday at 12:24 p.m. at 1225 Oakwood Ave.
A suspicious vehicle was reported parked behind Fred Gerken Construction Sunday at 12:42 p.m. An officer advised it was a keyholder.

Malinta Fire Department
Firefighters responded to a pole fire at Rte. 109 and Delph Street in Malinta Sunday at 11:43 a.m. The department was back in service at 11:55 a.m.
Florida/Flatrock Fire Department
Fire crews were called Sunday at 2:45 p.m. to a ditch fire at H-373 Co. Rd. 16 in Flatrock Township. The department was back in service at 3:43 p.m.
Damascus Township Fire Department
Firefighters were called to 2-273 State Route 65 Sunday at 5:34 p.m. for a house that was struck by lightning. The department was back in service at 6:19 p.m.
