Napoleon Police Department

On Monday at 11:38 p.m., a semi operated by Timothy J. Mifsud, 39, of Richmond, Ind., was parked legally in a marked parking space at Pilot Travel Center when a second semi was attempting to back into the space next to Mifsud’s and struck Mifsud’s vehicle. The unknown semi left the scene prior to police arrival. Damage to Mifsud’s semi was minor. Another accident was reported at the Pilot Travel Center at 2:23 p.m. Tuesday. No other information was available.

Officers reponded to 221 E. Clinton St. Monday at 6:57 p.m. for a report of a civil protection order violation.

A subject in the area of Monroe Street and Shelby Avenue reported hearing gunshots Monday at 10:59 p.m. Officers who checked the area were unable to locate.

A suspicious person was reported in the 800 block of Welsted Street at 11:22 p.m. Monday.

An open door was reported at Koester Corp. Tuesday at 1:51 a.m. Officers secured the building.

A domestic dispute was reported on Glenwood Avenue at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers were called to Wal-Mart Tuesday at 4:20 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and vehicle vandalism. No other information has been released by the department.

An alarm was reported Tuesday at 5:51 p.m. at 150 W. Riverview Ave.

A burglary was reported Tuesday at 11:40 a.m. at 55 Cedarbrook Ave. for subjects being seen entering the residence. Officers reported the complaint to be unfounded.

Stacy Topp, 34, of Napoleon was arrested for theft Tuesday at 4:37 p.m. at Wal-Mart and was summoned to court.

An employee at Buckeye Launderers and Cleaners reported a forged check Tuesday at 10:32 a.m.

An unruly juvenile on Oakwood Avenue was reported refusing to go to school at 7:43 a.m. Tuesday.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office

On Tuesday at 12:54 p.m., Louis A. Wallace II, 18, of Napoleon was operating a motorcycle traveling westbound on U.S. Route 6 in Ridgeville Township when he slowed to turn left into a private driveway, slid on the wet pavement and lost control of the motorcycle which came to rest on its side in the roadway. Wallace suffered minor injuries and damage to his motorcycle was minor.

A house was reported egged at 8:43 p.m. Monday at 6862 County Road M in Damascus Township.

A donkey was reported near and on the road on County Road 7 in Marion Township Tuesday at 1:52 a.m.

A light was reported on in a building on Cherry Street in Liberty Center at 3:23 a.m. Tuesday. All was found to be okay.
- i know LC isn't the most advanced community, but you'd think everyone would be familiar enough with light bulbs that they don't find them to be suspicious

A driving complaint was filed at Holgate Local School Tuesday at 8:43 a.m. for a vehicle which passed a school bus.

Deputies responded to two complaints of telephone harassment Tuesday. The first was reported by a subject at 421 N. Upton St. in Holgate at 4:25 p.m. and the second was reported by a subject at 7681 County Road V in Liberty Township at 6:32 p.m.

There were no admissions, births or discharges to report Tuesday.
