A car hit a deer on County Road S in Ridgeville Corners at 7:13 a.m. Thursday. Dennis Arps, 54, of Defiance was uninjured in the accident, but damage to his vehicle was minor. A second car-deer accident occurred at 8:16 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 6 south of the river bridge in Napoleon Township. A third such accident happened at 8:45 p.m. Thursday on Rte. 6 in Ridgeville Township. No other information was available on these crashes. Robert L. Kuesel, 56, of Malinta was westbound on Rte. 6 in Harrison Township Friday at 7:33 a.m. when he struck a deer. Kuesel was uninjured, but damage to his vehicle was disabling.
